Charice's First Solo Concert, A Success

The YouTube sensation turned international singer, Charice, had a successful first solo concert at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Philippines last night (June 27, 2009).

Thousands of fans lined up outside the concert venue to experience this momentous event.

Charice started the concert with a powerful rendition of Dream Girls' song "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going." She also sang "You and Me Against the World" with her mom.

On a behind-the-scenes look of the concert, both Charice and Ms. Regine Velasquez expressed great anticipation for the concert, but unfortunately, Regine was unable to perform due to some illness.

Charice revealed on an earlier interview that she was supposed to have a song and dance showdown with Michael Jackson on his upcoming world tour this July, thus, on her concert she performed "You are Not Alone," and "Billie Jean" amongst other songs as a tribute to the late pop icon.

Charice will be off to the US in a couple of days to continue recording for her US debut album.

i am glad it was successful because she is a really good singer and i cant wait til she grows up and listen to how her voice changes.
