CCTV
British television loves to flow the channels with kung fu movies and once in a life time Chinese movie; however, there is only 1 channel which gives news and basic info about China.

CCTV. It's not a very good channel, atleast the one on Sky One's 511. It may give really basic info that can be seen on normal news, why not give some extra things like celeb news, deeper news of China and just things you see on the 5 billion Indian channels on the Sky Digital. Toungue

I still watch it but it's not a very good channel and it wouldn't really catch a random passer-by'ers attention to be more interesting in Chinese culture.

I'm still happy it's there rather than nothing though. Smile

RE: CCTV
Our CCTV is lameeeeeeeee. I still watch it but it's lameeeee. It's probably because not many people have voiced out on it so they keep it to basics, rather than dishing out here in England.

RE: CCTV
CCTV is not a channel for entertainment. It's a central china television station, which means it is controlled by the chinese government. So that should explain why the programs on it are so basic and boring.

RE: CCTV
There are many CCTV Channels in Mainland China. Each has it's own category of content. All Chinese channels aimed at Europe/USA are pretty lame. Boring and old stuff.

Use PPStream if you're on Windows to watch Chinese Channels.
