Car accident witness
This morning I was driving my car to school like the usual. My class on Mon/Wed/Fri starts at 9:15am, but I intended to arrive on campus 30 minutes earlier for better parking spots.
So I was waiting on a red arrow light, trying to turn left as soon as that red turns green. At the time, I was the head of the lane with a couple cars in back of me. All of a sudden, an aquablue car sped its way across the road. From what I saw, the driver was driving at about 50mph at a 35mph curvy lane. Couple seconds later, there was this combination of crash, brake, and thud sound. Then I was sure it came from that speeding car.
I didn't see the impact and had no idea why the car came to its aftermath, but when I got there, the car was flopped upside down next to a curb. I didn't quite clearly see the driver nor the airbag because the car was flopped in an awkward direction. But from my angle, the wheels were still rolling. While the school ambulance was on its way, some faculty-related vehicles arrived, and there were a couple of guys who helped out. It was a shock to everyone at the scene.
Fortunately there was no explosion, pedestrian collision, nor collision with other vehicles. However the driver of that crashed car seemed to be in a poor shape. I couldn't stay long enough to find out, there were cars behind me, trying to get to reach their destination as well. So I left.
Enough said, if you're not obeying traffic regulations, you're just asking for risks. Sooner or later, those risks will turn into troubles you'll have to put up with. IMO, just be careful and don't do rash things.

RE: Car accident witness
Wow. It's very lucky you weren't caught in there, like if it crashed into you *knock on wood* but that must have been a pretty shocking thing I would think. I hate it when I see cars that swerve in and out of lanes in order to be faster, I think it's really stupid of them.
I've never witnessed a car crash, and I don't hope to. Just make sure any drivers out there, that your safe when your driving

RE: Car accident witness
Drivers need to be more careful these days. Even if the person was late for an appointment or something like that, don't risk your life just to get there. Missing an appointment is fine but you only get one life. That's crazy that the car flipped over! Must have been a big scene and hope everyone is fine.

If you see car accidents that frequently, I can sorta imagine what your response might be the moment when you see one outside the window. It'd prolly be like... "hm? Oh shoot...... Now let's get back to work."

RE: Car accident witness
I was actually in a car accident with my family. My dad was driving, it was around 12am. I don't exactly know what happened but it was a giant curve where you can't see up ahead, a truck was ahead and my dad tryed dodging it, then almost hit the hill, then our car fell to its side. I wasn't wearing a seat belt (>.<) so I went from one side of the car to the other. I was really scared for my sister because she was on the side the car fell and her window was half way rolled down. If she fell through...well...There would be no chance of survival. Thats why I cried the entrie time afterwards.
