RE: Cantonese to Mandarin
understanding mandarin would be easy for you because you already know cantonese. some words sound similar to the word in cantonese, so you'd be able to pick it up fairly quickly. also, the pinyin is very easy to learn too. i've been learning mandarin since i was young...although i didn't pay attention in class so i didn't get very far XD. so now i can only read most words using pinyin Sad

I dunno i'm kinda learning manderine myself and i find it pretty easy...i watch manderine drama and my friends teach me...so i now i know how to communicate alittle...that took me around 2 month...so it's really easy...you just have to be really familar with cantonese like me...so u can read the sub title while you listen to manderine and soon you'll learn some words =D
