So do you guys think you can really become friends with an ex? Be it someone you dated for 2 months and just liked each other or someone you dated for 3 years and actually feel in love with each other and are totally comfortable with each other.

I think you can if both persons are mature about it. But then again i dont think so either because everything just feels weird.

why not, you're young, there's plenty of the world to discover. You just weren't ready for relationship but you can still be friends. I know many people who have ended up as good friends with their exes.

its not uncommon to find two people that are still good friends after they break up. I agree that both people have to be mature enough to handle it.

The stuff you see in Korean dramas are not realistic (or is it just me, maybe it's just me). All the actors and actresses have to do is to keep saying sorry and look into each others' eyes, then it's set. Even ex can be turned into friends.
Some relationships were torned apart from the smallest misunderstandings to stupid acts. Even though these things may not directly affect the relationship, but they eventually build up and cause someone to explode (or implode if you would). By that time, it's already too late to remedy. "The more you love, the more you hate." It's like, you would hate your ex more than others because (s)he betrayed the trust, the amount of time spent with you, the money involved, and the likes...
A lot of relationships are reversible, but there are those that are not. And for those that are not, why would your ex become a friend, in a similar manner to a reversible relationship, after something so horrible happened between the two of you?
Honestly, my personal experience it that the ex will only corrupt the friends around you by gossipping; thus it would do more harm than good. So, friends or not friends -it's more than likely not.

well really depends on how the relationship went and as noted above how mature the both of you are. personally i rather not be friends with the people i dated for a long time and broke up with just because it sucks not being with them and talking "as friends" just makes it all ackward. someone i dated for a short time on ther other hand is fine with me.

Yeah it does depend on what happened during your relationship. If your partner cheated on you, I'm pretty sure you you would hate that person.

of course, anything is possible...time heals wounds from splitting up, and both man and woman should realize that and come to terms to accept these facts.

Yea i kinda think no matter how bad the break up is with time both people can possibly become friends. Its just a matter of time.

Yes you definitely can. It's good to let bygones be bygones after you break up in a relationship. I know my two friends, who used to date, are now best friends.
