Ok i just discovered this forum today and i just learned about movie files with softsubs, downloading the subtitles sepereately and i just downloaded the vlc media player and i figured out how to watch the movies on my computer with the subtitled files.

but now i need to know if i can burn the movie with the english subtitles to a dvd or vcd so i can watch the movie with english subtitles on dvd players.

can anyone help me and let me know if there is anything i need to do if there are programs i need to do this? again, i am brand new to all of this stuff and i am very grateful for this site for all the posts and everything! keep it up everyone! thanks again!

it actually depends on your DVD player. If you add the file and the .srt subs to the dvd, it should work, as long as your DVD player could read them. I guess you need a good DVD player for it. I've never tried it myself though, but that's what I've learned online before.

You'll need to embed the subtitles into the movie to make it a hardsub.. To do this I recommend VirtualDubMod.. Use this tut from ViedoHelp.com ..

ahhhhh!!!! dude i can't figure it out for the life of me! im sooo frustrated and pissed! i just want to download the movies with the subtitles to a vcd so i can watch it on my dvd player on a big screen. im so bummed! i really need to figure it out by saturday!

hmm is there any other way you can watch the movie? Like hooking up your computer to the TV? Unfortunately I don't know what sort of things you need for that and might take up a lot of time and maybe even money... ah sorry I'm no help! T_____T

I don't know how to help you...

but just an advice... don't share the hardsubbed videos on streaming sites coz of the license thingy. If you do so, the fansubbing teams who made the subs might get banned and this will cause a lot of Asian drama addicts a lot of heartache... lol Just use it for private reasons okay... thanks

I'm not sure what this auto gk is but if you're still interested in hardusbbing with VDM let me know and I'll give you step by step instructions..

well im not necessarily giving it out, i just wanna have my friends come over and watch it, and one of them is very pretty and she's into korean dramas too haha! what better way to connect than with "a moment to remember" or "my girl and i"?

but anyways...
everytime i use the auto gk i get an error and it renders the movie to a 7 minutes fast forward version of it with no audio. i guess ill try the virtual dubmod, but im pretty skeptical about my abilities to use these programs.
