RE: Best sights in Japan?

There's quite a few good castles you probably want to visit. I went to Himeji, info can be found here.

A list of castles can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_castles_in_Japan

Then you probably want to go to Akihabara for shopping.

Atomic bomb museum too, that place was kinda interesting.

Yes the castles are pretty cool, I can't say I've visited many of them though Smile

If you are going to Japan you should probably go to Shibuya for the shopping. Tokyo obviously because that is the biggest center, it's basically like Los Angeles + New York combined (haha).

Just a reminder for foreigners, Japan has a thing called the JR pass which you can buy to take the train unlimited times. The first time I visited Japan I used this, but once I moved there I didn't really feel like visiting too many places anymore... haha.

RE: Best sights in Japan?

I have to say Tokyo is beautiful!!!!!!! I love going to the Shikine-Jima   the island south of Tokyo, a beautiful place for a summer getaway. The Rikugi-en (Garden) is just lovely, and The Meiji Shrine is awsome too!!!!!
