That's not true at all.. The editing the producers did made it seem as if she was ashamed. She has talked about this issue on Talk Model where she says she was shocked to find that people thought she was ashamed of her Asian heritage because that is not true. She is proud of her heritage. The only thing I would say is that because of the way the modeling field is clients would probably judge and typecast her because of her features which I believe she thought would make it difficult for her to get hired. But she is proud of her heritage. Here is a short message she sent me regarding that issue a while ago..
