RE: Azumi
Azumi is my #2 choice in movies [I own the DvD]. So Close with Shu Qi is my first. 3rd. would be "The Princess Blade". Looking forward to Azumi 2 when I get the chance to see it. I would like to see a Princess Blade 2 so Yuki can administer her retribution for her mother's murder and Takashi. Yuki lived but they didn't say what happened to The House of Takemikazuchi. There a whole movie waiting to be made I think.

RE: Azumi
You are right Fahlyn! Azumi was a great movie and I just watched Azumi 2. The sequal was not as action packed as the 1st one but it did bring a lot of Azumi's personality out. I hope they make a 3rd to cap it off. Also Chikaki Kuriyama was in it, playing pretty much the same role as she did in kill bill >.> but it was still cool.
As for the other 2 movies that you listed. So Close is one of the best movies I've ever watched. Most of my Marines are now Qi Shu Fans and they started buying more of her movies. Princess Blade I havent watched in a long time. I am going to break it out and watch it again to refresh.
I really wish these came out in Blu-Ray

RE: Azumi
I saw Azumi 1 a little over a year ago I think it was and found I really liked the movie. Aya Ueto started out not having any fighting experience and finished the movie in good form and with noticeable improvment in skill and acting. I just sent for and watched Azumi 2 and found to my personal taste that I think they definitely picked the right person to play the part. Haven't decided if I like one better than the other. I like both and find myself listening to Aya Ueto's Jpop and went and bought 4 of her albums. Great stuff Aya, keep it up. You are right about Chikaki Kuriyama, Romandain; she may be fated to play a villian type role, but I could see her as a good girl hero also. She is also talented. As For Aya Ueto, it was set to bring out more of her character. I would also like to see a third Azumi.

RE: Azumi
I am pretty sure the Chikaki Kuriyama is going to play a hero type in the new Tekken movie that is coming out in the US in 2009. I am not to familiar with the Tekken story so I couldn't tell you, but the info on who she is casted as is on IMDB.

RE: Azumi
Very interesting movie. I love the fact that there is action out the wazzo!! Shun is nice in the role of Azumi's best friend/love interest, but he gets killed by her and well no more Shun-kun....*tears* I recommend the second one as well!
