Oh, no, it isn't really food in the food sense of the word, but I loooove Thai young coconuts, yummy from coco water to coco meat! It's like I go to Thailand only to have young coconut. It's so unlike coconuts in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, try it to find out what I'm talking about! It's available in the new Suvarnabhumi Airport, buy one during a stopover and you won't regret it. How can one gush like this over coconuts, 'yey!

Yep, sisig is really yum and hot too!!

Hahaha! I posted a pic with more ice cream on top... here's another one... [Image: Halo_halo1.jpg]

"halo halo" literally means mix mix... and as the name implies it's a sweet, creamy and filling concoction of different ingredients, then you have to mix it all like baby food!!!  It is basically a mixture of shaved ice, milk and sugar to which is added various sweet preserved beans(red mung beans, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, chick peas), sugar palm fruit (kaong), coconut sport (macapuno), jackfruit (langka), pounded dried rice (pinipig), sweet purple yam (ube) or sweet potato (kamote), cream flan (leche flan or custard/souffle), shreds of sweetened plantain (saba), tapioca or sago, nata de coco, sweetened corn kernel, corn flakes, gelatin and  topped with ice cream.   Other fruits, such as papayas, avocados, durian preserve or cherries, may also be added. You can add more or exclude some of the ingredients. You can put it in a bowl or in a tall glass. It really depends on ones preference.
