as you know, the influence of western culture have been expanding to Asian for quite a while . we can see the changes so clearly nowdays, mostly in terms of living style and relationships. what do you think about it? do you approve or against it ? and why ?

the mian reason maybe because we want to try something new, that's why we easily get influence by western culture.

somehow vieran was right, and i think it was most of the influence was caused by technology how fast the technology is changing

yes technology, and the media nowadays is growing like crazy..I mean try to compare the development computers,tv, handphones, internet 10-15 years ago with nowadays.. the Film used to censored and everything was really 'decent'... I kinda miss the old days though

What is the culture?
And how could we call this culture?
How did we improve our culture?

I think that'll solve the problem. We don't need to use 'Old Ways' forever. But we maintain our inner spirits. That IS our culture.

well i wouldn't really agree with you. most asian parents are strict on their kids so it really does affect on how the kids live their lives. most asians who live in the us tend to keep their cultures in their lifestyles too even as they grow older

Omm? What do you mean? I mean I don't get the point.

I said about culture. Not their ways in guiding their children. Even though it affects the life style of their children, cultural development can not be avoid. If the children are old enough to control themselves and have more exposure to the western cultures, they won't use most of the "Old Ways". Only their inner spirits left. That's why the Asian parents highly strict on their kids.

It's just a point of view.

I do agree -we're not as in tune with our culture but I think lately, there's been a shift going backwards. Personally, I'd like to learn as much about my own culture, there are many insights you can get into.

I think that if u are proud of ur race and culture it´s a good start. The problem comes with some Asians in West that just hate their heritage.
