As the swine flu hits the biggest in the country of Mexico, other nations including Asia have imposed strict control from swine flu sweeping through the regions.

Anyone that went traveling out of the country must go through a screening to make sure the passenger haven't showed any signs of the symptom.

Passenger were warned ahead of time before arrival if any person showed any signs of coughing, sneezing, or even a slight fever must report to the hospital.

"We will take that patient to the hospital and let him stay there and have a test and until the test result is negative, we won't allow him to get out of the hospital," said Thomas Tsang, from the city's centre for health protection.

Could this flu infestation be the start of a new health alert since SARS and the bird flu? I hope it isn't. Stay safe everyone and wash your hands at all times.

aside from washing hands all the time, no shaking hands... and cover mouths when coughing... and no kissing, even the cheek-to-cheek ones (beso beso in Filipino slang) coz the virus is airborne

One good thing esp. for Asian countries that are unaffected is that all international airport terminals have thermal scanning so the airport officials can detect arrivals with high fever... and if a person is from the infected countries, go immediately to the hospital if you have the symptoms of a flu. Don's assume that it's just human flu, it could be swine flu you know coz they have the same symptoms

Is there a cure to this? or would you die after you catch it? ... wow I worded that so pessimistically >.< But umm yeah :S you know what I mean...

I don't think there is a cure currently since I believe it's a new epidemic. They only have treatments and prevention which the preventions always come down to compulsively washing your hands.

This outbreak had me worried over the weekend since I came down with a slight cold. Everyone seems to be cautious of everyone now.

You're absolutely right Krazoom..today in class, I had the slighest cough (always had it for months...its one of those cough that just won't stop. Also, I don't feel sick.) As my teacher approached me to hand me a paper, I coughed a bit and he backed off a bit thinking I might have the swine flu. I understand with a swine flue outbreak...everyone does seem to be cautious, but certainly it just make me feel uncomfortable >_<

oh my! I also have a cough! and some in my family too! But the authorities said to be more vigilant to the people from Mexico then US and Canada... mmm... so I hope you guys won't get infected with this.. Be healthy you guys!

OMG! News reports say that there's a first swine flu death in the US! and the flu is in South Korea already. It's the first Asian country to get the flu

There's a medicine called Tamiflu... Philippine's Health department already ordered boxes of it just in case but I don't know if it's the same name in other countries

i heard about it... not sure if it's the same, but i think it's a toddler from texas. i haven't watched the news yet though ( i was just told by my friend). i hope that is the 1st and last death here.

My sister is a nurse at a clinic in downtown and she told me yesterday that apparently in the main hospital down the street a few kids came in with the flu. I had hoped it wouldn't spread this far but it's here now.
