First Step in Korean by Minjung Seorim is the Korean book I recommend for beginners. I have to say it is an excellent book and I will be providing materials for this book in this thread. I have a lot of worksheets from this book that I think will be useful in helping you learn Korean.

First, however, you are probably wondering how you can buy this book. The best place to get it would be Amazon.com, and the link is here.

Lesson Tests
Lesson tests are a good way to test your comprehension of the material. After going through a lesson, you should complete a lesson test to gauge whether you should continue to the next lesson or keep studying the current lesson. This is the best way to retain your knowledge of Korean.
