it has been spread out all ove net that this controversy that super sexy "National Costume" Miss Universe Japan, 25-year old Emiri Miyasaka, planned to don during the Miss Universe pageant caused quite a stir in her native country and abroad.

Now, due to thousands of complaints, Bloomberg News reports that the beauty pageant contestant is going to switch up her outfit for the August 23 contest in the Bahamas.

What do you think? Should Miss Universe Japan have stood her ground and kept her original costume. Or was it smart to opt for a more covered up look in response to the complaints?
A mini kimono showing up pink garters and undies?!? whoa! Talk about tasteless! I mean it's the modern times and Japan is into sexy costumes as seen in anime and cosplay and whatever but it's their traditional costume! It'll be good for cosplay but not in Miss Universe! It should at least showcase some class and beauty through restraint!
Whatever works. LOL
This is a major no-no!!!! Being a representative of the country, Japanese from all ages must be able to relate to her. but this outfit ruins it all!!!
That's nothing compared to what I've seen but then again Japan has completly different regulations to that of the United States. She should stand her ground since people will always have something to say regardless of what you do in life and besides I prefer Juno over her
If you didn't state who that was I'd have guessed it's a thai ladyboy.
