How do you choose a major?
I am currently undecided, but how do you go along choosing a major? I want to choose something i like, but then want something that can get me a good job and those arent ones i really like though.
Choose something you like definitely, but that's just my opinion. Some will choose what they can do to get the most money.
It's hard to study something that you don't like, so choose the one you like. It would be easier for you to study something you like and enjoy.
I was asking the same question, but in the wrong subforum. (I didn't see this one at first) I have the same dilemma. My time to chose a major is coming up, but I still havn't decided. A lot of people seem to be saying pick the major that interest you the most, so you can have a job that you like and want to do. They're saying ignore the money, and chose your forte.
i say, choose the one you like. if you love what you do, it won't seem like such a hassle to work. money will follow later on. it's better to enjoy getting up in the morning knowing that you're excited for work. if you choose something you don't like, it will end up being a burden later on.
I chose something that i like 9related to signal processing and networking) and while doing my best, i found out it could turn out profitable for me.
but I think the most important is to like what you're doing; you will always have to consent lots of efforts in your professionnal life so you better go for something you like. Otherwise, you end up in hell.
Choose something that you like... because if you dont like it you wont focus on it
