Wonder Girls will stop all promotions from this year by December 31, 2008.

After their success this year with So Hot and Nobody, the Wonder Girls will be taking a break in the New Year before setting off again. Plans for an album release in early 2009 are in the planning as of right now.

JYP Entertainment expressed in an interview, "There will some big breakthroughs (performances) in the year-end Gayo Daejuns."

According to the JYP representative, "We haven’t set on a concept yet as the Wonder Girls are now focusing all their energies for their thrilling performances at the year-end festivals, so please wait in anticipation."

Upon reading the title, I was like ~ "eh? It's just one day to go and 2008 will be officially over! The 2008 promotions will end for anyone one way or another!" ... but upon reading the news, my flabbergasted state was cleared! lol

Good luck to Wonder Girls... you need it especially that YG entertainment is concocting a female Big Bang to debut on the first quarter of 2009!

Mmmmm, the performance wasn't all that that I was looking forward for, but I guess it's alright. It was still cute, somewhat. I hope they get a new rest and come up with another addictive song for the year

upon reading the title i thought it is the end of Wondergirls career but as i read the story my thoughts was cleared, i thought it was real, ive been loving them since i listened to their songs and i will be really disappointed if that came true lol but its a good thing for them to have some rest somehow, have a fun vacation girls!!!

oh i see, they need to have a break too! saving all their energies for their thrilling performances are very much demanding again for them not to be exhausted or drained!

It's good they're taking a break. Last year was bad for korean artists. They all kept collapsing from exhaustion. They need to rest their bodies

They might be stopping promotions in Korea but they're hanging out in the states now. They're in LA now I believe and plan on making their way over to the East coast (New York).
