Final Fantasy VIII is mine.
Final Fantasy 7 was my favorite. Yuffie was my fav. character. And Cloud...he was my first RPG crush. Haha. That FF I'd say was the best out of all of them but it's the only one I played straight through...
Final Fantasy X was my favorite
FFVIII is awesome! it's my favorite RPG
mmm.. the best non-linear RPG for me would have to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
(Non-linear = games that give you lots of freedom. like... fable. y'know?)
But yah, I still like FFVIII best. It's also the first game I played on the playstation.. those were the days..
Paper Mario for the Gamecube is on my list

Oblivion and Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Currently enjoying last year's Star Ocean: Till The End of Time.

Final Fantasy VIII. The reason was that it was the first to bring me into the exemplary series and made RPG my favorite genre for all that matters.
