Which anime series or movie did you watch first that ultimately got you hooked into anime?

For me, I really like DBZ ever since I was a kid.  It's was interesting and all, but it didn't pull me hard enough to explore other anime.  What got me interested was the anime series, Saishyuheido Kanojo (i'm not sure if I spelled it right), or Saikano.  I was told by my roommate at the time that I could watch all his burnt cds if I wanted.  So I did and got myself into anime

It's Doraemon that really got me into the anime world but I did stop awhile till Naruto sets in and that's where it all began again till now...

Dragon ball Z and Sailor Moon set it for me. watching sailor moon was the bomb when I was in kindergardern.

I remember that I was a huge fan of Sailormoon back in the day.

it had to be DBZ and Sailor Moon...I actually watched Megaman before those two, but never considered it an anime since it didn't differentiate itself much from american cartoons to me....DBZ and Sailor Moon did it...

Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball. I remember runnin' home after school to catch those shows. Ah, the good times. :3

um....let me think i use to watch sailor moon when i was small but only five times then the show was close i think, butyeah since then i never got into anime or manga until my freshmen year in high school "Ranma 1/2" is the first manga i ever read and i got hook to anime since then and im lovin it

I think it was Pokemon? Maybe Sailormoon also. I watched both a long long time ago.

Sailor moon... WTF... were we all watching the same Anime at the same time... !!

Pokemon. I remember when I used to watch it every single day after school....ahh memories. :] Annd Sailormoon, but I had to wake up at 6:00AM just to watch it. (That was considered really early for me at that time xD )
