omg! it loooks sooo nice. I want one, but not for that kinda cash. Too bad its cingular cuz i dun use cingular. If only i had the money, i would DEFINITELY get that phone. It looks SOOO HOT!!!! But i alway seem to like the new phones that come out. I cant help that it gets better and better.

Looks pretty nice and should have many nice features. The battery looks like it's not very good though. Plus, right now its pretty expensive, but I would like to get one sometime in the future when they make improvements on it.

actually...it depends on the phone's capability...as in if it is tri band, dual band, quad...but it should work in canada since Canada is a major country..

if only the iphone came in these varieties and were cheaper down the scale.

It is a major country, but Cingular isn't one of the ... phone companys? We have to use bell or Rogers or something, you can't use Cingular in Canada yet, but apparently there is a way to use the iPhone here if you know your way around a phone well enough!

I love the new iphone, but if you are going to get it, wait for a 2nd or 3rd generation iphone.

Here are some issues I find relevantin no particular order)

1.) EDGE- the apple iphone runs off the edge network, which is stupid slow. If you've seen the sprint commercials you will know what I am talking about.

2.) Cingular- currently it is only available through cingular which uses the EDGE network. Verizon and Sprint use a more advanced 3G wireless technology which is why they have better reception and reliability. If you are going to use a smartphone/pda like the iphone or blackberry, you obviously want it on a fast network in order to use all of its capabilities (ie internet, email, etc)

3.) Price - can't do anything about it, but its going to limit the market for the iphone

4.) Battery life - this is an unkown, but with a fancy OS and huge touch screen, you can only wonder how long the battery will last.

I am going to wait this one out, but I am definitely interested in getting it, as it seems like the utlimate convergence device (pda, mp3, video, internet, and who knows what else) But I would wait for a better version to come out once all the bugs are sorted out and once it is offered by someone other than cingular.

well the battery life on the sites says ""Built-in rechargeable battery with up to 5 hours of talk/video/browsing or up to 16 hours of audio playback" not tat bad
