On a recent business trip back to Hong Kong, Edison Chen along with his godfather, Anthony Wong and Wong's mother were enjoying dinner when all of a sudden, Wong was provoked by a group of reporters filming and taking pictures of them.

The reporter from Apple Daily followed them into the restaurant sitting two tables away from them, continuing to record them. Wong felt that his privacy was invaded by "intruders" so he got up from his seat, hit the reporter on the hand with a pair of chopsticks before leaving the restaurant. This might result into a possible lawsuit.
Veteran-actor, Wong responded, "The reporter was too close with the camera almost hitting me. He was filming the whole time. This is a private place!"
Wong's assistant, Maggie replied, "Anthony's actions were unintentional. His mother was there too. There were about 10 reporters present at that time. The situation was chaotic and it is a natural reflex to block them out with the chopsticks in his hand. It is not surprising if he hit the camera by accident."
Wong clarified that the chopsticks did not have physical contact with the reporter. "The reporter seemed fine and continued to film so I believe it only hit his camera and not his hands. If it did hit his hands, why didn't he shout or drop his camera?"
