Ankle problems. Aye.
I have been aware of this for a prolonged period of time but never thought of it to be anything troublesome. Basically, everytime I walk in a quiet surrounding, I can hear the ankle of my right foot make a crackling sound (a pop). This have been happening for a while now and it is persistent. There is no pain felt what so ever.

What do you think is the problem? Should I seek chiropractic treatment?

Crackling? I figure that should be bone related...have you tried just seeing a doctor and telling him about it to see what it can be?

No, I have yet to contact any medical advisors upon the problem. It is predictable that my doctor will just provide a referral to a chiropractor office.

Just drop by a chiropractic office for any bone-related issues and make an appointment. They are rather inexpensive and more specialized in the field.

RE: Ankle problems. Aye.
if u have this kind of problem you shouldnt post it on a forum lol. first thing i would do is contact your doctor and see what happens from there. it could be very serious.

You should go see a doctor. It may not be serious, but if its enought to question it, you should go see him. Maybe you don't get the vitamins you need for proper bone growth?

RE: Ankle problems. Aye.
A Crackling sound? That's interesting...maybe you have two bones in your ankle that could be rubbing against eachother or at a weird angle, which has formed a small air pocket, and when you walk, there is a popping sound from that air pocket.

Or you could have a misplaced a bone all together that could be due to misalignment/issues with a ligament, just so slightly, that it isn't enough to cause pain, however when it displaces from its original insertion point, it makes a popping sound.

If you could give more detail, ie what type of actual movement produces the popping sound(like if your ankle is in full extension/a rotating movement/inversion or eversion/or a combination), and a more descriptive explaination of the sound, I could get a better understanding of the problem, and ask fellow peers for their opinion.

Before going to see a doctor try something called RICE.It basically stands for Rest,Ice,Compression, and Elevation
