I dont know if someone had this idea before but I think if we would add a chat room to the forum so we could chat live with the ampedasia community. That would be fun and a good interactive way to make new friends around the community and it could be a new way to help new comer to the site. There are chatbox like XAT that are easy to add to site and easy to use for everyone.

We've suggested that a couple times, at least I have once, but realized it might not be that needed since maybe no one will go on but, well, us. hehe. Also we'll never get to a million on that one thread if we had a chatbox...

Actually... since in case of emergencies we might need a chatbox thing, I programmed a simple AmpedAsia ModChat page (with a 'decision maker' script too ) on my school's server that our mods use in case that the site is down or HACKED (like this one time that banned all of us and messed us up a bit... and our secret modchat was used to its usefulness!) but no one has used it since. I don't think Lance even knows about it lol.

but anyway I thought about a chatroom for the forum recently because a friend of mine made his own chatroom for me and some friends and I thought it would have been fun to make the same here and of course I would NEVER let the one million thread down XD

Yea... apparently we were banned for being "too sexy for our shirts" xD. At least that what it said when we tried to log on... also alot of our threads were deleted, most notably our count to a million thread. Thankfully Lance had it on back-up and restored an earlier version of it though we were missing some posts in it... And there was one more thing... but this story getting long lol.

Yea most forums I go on have a chatbox and it works really well for them. It might work for us too, but it's up to Lance.

Maybe if I offer him to do the chatroom myself for him and ampedasia he would be more interested because I know how it work it's pretty simple.

I was offering to do that for him too hehe I don't remember what happened to that conversation though but we still don't have one lol....

and I know that adding a chatroom would not kill the forum
first because it's not everyone that like chatting but mainly because that forums have some advantages that chatroom don't have. Like you can archive and keep discussion in forums and save some important data.

I like the idea. Maybe it can be an award for the 1 million count! I can never keep up with everyones conversations! I don't get a chance to get on as much as I would like to so this might be good to just keep in touch better.
