RE: A food thread?
I think this is a good idea! I don't know much about korean, japanese, and chinese foods, coz I never go on restaurants like that. I always eat filipino foods thats why I don't know other asian foods! this is good I can make asian foods that I really don't know.. lol but i don't know how to cook!!

Big Hi to Nanciie! I think your idea about food is awesome. But I have to tell you I am a little biased that way. I cook for a living so food is kind of my thing. Still an awesome idea.

Do you ever taste of pakistani food and indian ? They are very tasty but I'll add a warning with it . They are too spicy. We use to it so we don't feel it. Anyway Yes I also favor to add a special category.

RE: A food thread?
i would want to see more recipes for other asian countries, and for the beginners in cooking this would help a lot.

As a professional cook and baker I would be very happy to share anything I know about food, recipes, cooking techniques, spices, seasonings, Just anything food. I also deal with medicinal herbals as well. Bon Appetit!

RE: A food thread?
A picture of a dish I love
diced potatoes and carrots are boiled together with leek, garlic and salt. During the same time, the steak gets some colors with some salt, garlic and lemon juice (no oil added!!).
When the vegetable ar 88% ready, add some sliced tofu. You have to put a bit more seasoning (pepper and onion) because you want the tofu to be tasty. Let it simmer, no more boiling or everything will get crushed and it just does not look good.

Edit; Oops!! Picture too large; cannot upload it!
