Yuna Ito is a J-pop singer born in the United States. She is half-Japanese, half-Korean (her father is Japanese). She speaks fluently in English, and Japanese is actually her second language (she may know some Korean, but this is unconfirmed). Although she was born in LA, California, she grew up primarily in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She has aspired to be a singer since she was a young child. After graduating with great marks from McKinley High School in Hawaii, she began to pursue careers in modeling and singing. Her stardom came when she auditioned for the role of Reira in the Japanese movie,
NANA. She had a major singing role in this movie alongside J-pop star, Mika Nakashima. After hearing her perform the song,
Endless Love, in the movie, Japan fell in love with this lovely singer.
Her stardom has increased numerously, with several successful singles under her name, and a successful album that has sold over 400,000 copies. Her latest project will be the movie,
NANA 2.
