Maki Goto Biography
She's a J-Pop singer that is known for being a member of the girl group, Morning Musume, which is a part of the Hello! Project. She has also performed with other groups in the Hello! Project such as Pucchi Moni, Akagumi 4, 7nin Matsuri, Sexy 8, Gomattou and Nochiura Natsumi.
In 1999, Maki Goto was selected for the third generation of Morning Musume. In Japan, it isn't uncommon to see bands getting their members replaced as the older members age or lose popularity. Maki was the only member chosen for Morning Musume's third generation, and when their 7th single, "Love Machine," became a huge hit, many attributed the success to Maki's inclusion to the group. Many saw her as the most popular member of Morning Musume at the time because she was not only talented but very beautiful.
She retired from Morning Musume in 2002, but she then launched her own solo career.
