Biography

Ayase Haruka (綾瀬 はるか) is a Japanese actress, model, and a singer that achieved prevalent acknowledgment after passing the Horipro Talent Scout Caravan audition in 2000 and has worked for the Horipro Agency since.

She first gained significant recognition throughout Japan through her debut short film Justice in 2002, and became very well known as an actor by 2004 after the release of the TV show, Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World. Around this time she also started working in the music industry and released her first single, "Period," which sold over 28,000 copies in 2006 followed by another release of "Kōsaten Days" that same year and "Hikōkigumo" in 2007.

Ayase Haruka is a 2-time winner of the Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix Best Actress Award and a 3-time winner of the Television Drama Academy Awards. Other personal characteristics include her great interest in sports, especially in basketball as she was part of the 9th grade basketball team that won the Ekiden Regional Tournament. Furthermore, her favorite food is Edamame, and her favorite snacks are pudding and Daifuku.
