Ai Carina Uemura Biography
Born Ai Carina Uemura in Los Angeles California to a Japanese father and half Japanese half Italian mother, Ai has always aspired to sing and dance as is stressed in many of her albums.

In 1998 Ai appeared in one of Janet Jackson's music videos "Go Deep" as an extra. Although only for a second Ai has said it was one of the greatest moments in her life. AI debuted with the label BMG in 2000 to release 3 singles and one album.

In 2003 she departed with BMG and moved on to Def Jam Japan making history in being the 1st female signed to the label. Ai's range in music stretches from hip hop to R&B. She is capable of both rap and song and has been dubbed THE QUEEN OF HIP-HOP & SOUL in Japan.
