‘Pokémon Go’ Releases Legendary Pokémon

Niantic, the developer of the famous mobile game ‘Pokémon Go’, has launched a new update, which includes Legendary Pokémon from Kanto Region (First Generation)!

The game did not feature any Legendary Pokémon, although Mewtwo was featured in the trailer and was never mentioned afterwards.

The rare Pokémon will be from Kanto Region, including Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.  This feature will be coming into mobile games, available on the iPhone and Android market.

When it comes out, how does one capture these legendary Pokémon?  Simply by doing raids.  Check out this epic trailer:

Niantic also mentions that these legendary Pokémon will be in first released in Chicago raids at a Pokémon Go Fest event.  There were some previews of second generation Pokémon as well.

The company has announced:

“On July 22, thousands of Trainers in Grant Park for Pokémon Go Fest and the millions of others around the world will be working together to unlock in-game bonuses for the entire Pokémon Go community. If they manage to catch enough Pokémon during the Pokémon Go Fest Challenge Windows, the first Legendary Pokémon will be revealed in Grant Park. If the Trainers in Chicago succeed in defeating the Legendary Pokémon, that Pokémon will start appearing in Raid Battles around the world, after Pokémon Go Fest.”

After the update releases in Chicago, it will become available worldwide.
