You think your company car is sick? Check out this Chinese company that gives out TESLAS to their employees. Read on to find out more!
As business impresario Michael Scott once brilliantly said: “A boss’s salary isn’t just about money. It is about the perks. ”
Fictional character he may be, TRUTH did this Steve Carell character creation speak.
As we have discussed before, there are lots of companies out there whose perks trumps their pay. For instance yours truly, Amped Asia is giving out two mighty perks in the form of a date with Lana Violet, which you can still enter to win a chance with her here. But that is strictly for you lucky bastards reading this.
Unfortunately for us working stiffs here at the Amped Asia offices,we are ineligible to enter to win, thus we spend countless nights crying out the eyeballs in our ruggedly handsome faces and leaving teardrops all over our beautifully muscular muscular bodies. Or we drown our sorrows in off brand Cheetos. Depends on the mood.
Some companies even give away dates with famous pornstars to their employees as we discussed here. However one company is going green and giving away Teslas to its lucky employees!
The Chinese company WiFi Master Key is reportedly giving away Teslas to every employee with more than four months experience with the company as a year end bonus to cap off the Chinese New Year. Which quite probably has to be the most insane short term tenure based incentive we have seen since that time we heard that rumor about Auntie Ann’s Pretzels giving away any and all unsold pretzels to employees at the end of the night*
WiFi Master Key is riding the wave of tech startup companies currently popping up left and right in China’s new “capitalist” economy. As the name implies, WiFi Master Key is a mobile app company whose modus operandi is helping automatically connecting devices to public WiFi networks in range, and is backed by Shanda’s Innovation Institute, a successful Chinese game developer and publisher.
Even though in our humble opinions, WiFi Master Key sounds like a giant glorified router, apparently the company claims over 500 MILLION users and 230 million active monthly users, with claims of having free access to over 120 million WiFi spots across China. So perhaps the rational for WiFi Master Key spending more than RMB30 million (US$48 million) to supply its employees with the hot new electric car is some what justified.
Either way it is quite amazing to see how China is harvesting the fruits of their labor in their new position of world economic leaders.
*Through exhaustive and embarrassing research we have confirmed no one gets pretzels. =(
