According to the article, the man was treated in Guangdong China and will not have any lasting problems from the tapeworm infestation. For those that are worried about having the same thing happen to you, make sure you don’t touch contaminated food, especially raw fish. Having contact with these foods can cause tapeworms to infest your body.
