AmpedAsia.com: What is your ethnicity?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Vietnamese
AmpedAsia.com: Do you speak the language of your homeland?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Yes, I think I'm pretty fluent, but when I went back to Vietnam they said I sounded cute =(. So I'm probably not as
fluent as I think haha.
AmpedAsia.com: Have you ever visited your home country, and if yes how did you like it?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Yes! I went for my first time in the summer of 2005 and it was AMAZING! I loved it so much. I was able to fully
immerse myself in my culture and finally see what my parents were talking about all my life. Finally meeting my dad's side of the family was great too. The
beaches were also beautiful, I had no idea-- the whitest sand and clearest water I've ever seen. The only thing I was not able to get used to was the
humidity, and also I got over 10 intense mosquito bites, that wasn't fun. Oh and I forgot to mention the food... AMAZING! It was like $1.00 or less for
everything and everything was so good! I gained about 5 pounds in a week haha. I love my Vietnamese food =)
AmpedAsia.com: How did you get started in the modeling industry?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Pretty crazy story, I went to HIN (Hot Import Nights) LA this year on an audition to become one of their go-gos and a
guy approached me by the name of Mike Munar and asked if I'd like to tour with them. I was super ecstatic, but thought not much of it at the same time
because I didn't want to set myself up for disappointment so I gave him my contact info thinking he wouldn't call. Next thing you know, Mike calls me and
sends me to Guam!
AmpedAsia.com: We see that you're at UC Irvine, how do you balance out modeling and school and other activities?
Lynhthy Nguyen: It's actually not hard at all. I go-go on the weekends so it doesn't interfere with school and I book my photoshoots
on the weekdays after I get out of class.
AmpedAsia.com: Do you like the school you're at now?
Lynhthy Nguyen: I absolutely love it!
AmpedAsia.com: Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Hopefully I'll be a nurse anesthetist, happily married, with 2 beautiful healthy children (an older son and younger
daughter, so the older brother can watch out for his sister of course), a MILF preferably haha, living in southern California still, and giving back and
supporting my wonderful parents that have supported me so much throughout my entire life
AmpedAsia.com: After you die, what would you like to be remembered for?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Just as a fun-loving girl that loves to dance
AmpedAsia.com: What do you like most about yourself?
Lynhthy Nguyen: I like that I'm a happy person and that I try to spread my optimism to others.
AmpedAsia.com: What is something that most people don't know about you?
Lynhthy Nguyen: I don't like wearing bras and I'm obsessed with eyelashes.
AmpedAsia.com: Describe a typical weekend night of fun.
Lynhthy Nguyen: Vegas =)
AmpedAsia.com: What are you passions/hobbies?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Dancing has been and will always be my #1. I love it with a passion and I will never stop as long as I'm able to walk
=). Actually, I'll probably try to dance even if I'm bed ridden haha. I also enjoy eating, sleeping, and working out when I'm not dancing.
AmpedAsia.com: Any favorite movies?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Mean Girls! It's genius. Also I'm really into the Superbad and Juno humor. And as like any other girl, I'm a sucker
for romantic comedies like When Harry Met Sally.
AmpedAsia.com: Are you taken or single?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Happily taken for 2 years and 4 months yesterday ;)
AmpedAsia.com: What kind of things/traits stand out when you decide you may like somebody?
Lynhthy Nguyen: Their wit, ambition, intelligence, smile, honesty, spontaneity, and definitely the way they make me feel (if I get
that butterfly feeling or not), and they have to be able to make me laugh because I love laughing.Oh and a hot bod ;)
