The Naruto series begins with a nine-tailed demon fox that wreaked havoc and destruction upon the villagers of the Fire Country. In order to defeat such a powerful adversary, shinobis (ninjas) were hired to defeat the demon. One extremely powerful ninja (the Fourth Hokage of Konoha) was able to seal the Nine-tailed demon fox inside a young boy by giving up his own life. This boy is known as Naruto... Ever since then, villagers have become to despise Naruto for what was within him, not for who he was. Set out with a strong willed determination, Naruto sets out on a journey of gaining everyone's respect and reach his long time goal of becoming the future Hokage.

The series is currently still ongoing so there are definitely more characters to meet. However, the set of main characters are inevitably from the Leaf Village, Konoha. Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Tsunade, Jiraya, Iruka, and others are among the most important characters in this action filled ninja anime. Besides the ninjas from Konoha, there are others from other hidden villages such as Gaara of the Desert, Kankuro, and Temari from the Hidden Village of Sand. As the story line progresses, you will meet all kinds of interesting and terrifying characters in the world of Naruto.

I personally enjoy the music openings and endings set to the Naruto anime. It is extremely well placed and the beat and rhythm of the music compliments the overall theme and feelings brought on by the anime.

Animation? What can I say? It's an anime. Every character has a set of perfectly white and straight teeth with long tall noses and beautiful shining eyes that glitter about. Anyway, the theatrical elements of this anime is simply splendid. A few episodes comprise of "kiddy" like animation showing off Naruto's child like personality. Also, Naruto is a very colorful anime. The color tones focuses a lot around the environment of the Leaf Village, which is mainly forests and trees. Moreover, the animation ultimately adapts accordingly to the episode or scene. Not only is the fighting scenes well animated, but also the non-important scenes were animated with captures of true quality.

Following up, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. It is still currently on going but the last 100 episodes were all filler episodes (filler episodes are episodes irrelevant to the main plot of the story). Even so, the overall uniqueness and action portrayed in this anime has caught me going. Naruto is the number one watched anime in America, and it's easy to see why.
